In her speech, Wife of the Sokoto State Governor noted that notwithstanding Nigeria’s position in the global oil trade, the country must also face the fact that the world is quickly running out of oil.
She also remarked that technology and motivation for the actualization of solar energy exists. “All what our dear planet needs is due commitment, funding and implementation and before me is such commitment, funding and implementation being harnessed to their fullest.”
“As the Mother of the Day, I wish to say that this project is highly commendable. It means that women in this area have been directly empowered to do things that ordinarily they can’t do. The benefits that would be derived from this wonderful project cannot be overemphasized”.
Hajiya Mariya urged the beneficiaries to put into use this project in the very best way possible and protect it from vandalization and lack of maintenance.
She also congratulated all the stakeholders (particularly Hon. Abdulsamad Dasuki) involved and prayed that ALLAH reward their efforts in this world and beyond.
